XGimp is an Android adaptation of the popular GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation) app. This app offers a range of capabilities, including photo retouching, image composition, and image authoring. With XGimp, users can enjoy a simple paint program, image editor, expert quality photo retouching program, image renderer, or image format converter.

Just like the original GIMP app, XGimp provides a suite of painting tools such as Brush, Pencil, Airbrush, and Clone. It also functions as a powerful image editor with sub-pixel sampling for high-quality anti-aliasing. Other features include an impressive gradient editor and blend tool, support for custom brushes and patterns, full alpha channel support, as well as layers and channels. Users can also take advantage of multiple undo/redo options and work with editable text layers. Additionally, transformation tools like rotate, scale, shear, and flip are available.

In addition to these features, XGimp also includes a local image editor based on the open-source app "Pocket Paint". This allows users to modify graphics, images, and photos using tools such as the brush, line tool, cursor, fill tool, stamp, circle/ellipse shapes, cropping, flipping, zooming, rectangle shapes, image importing, eraser, moving elements, and rotating.
